Year 8
In Year 8 pupils undertake a project to create design work, including a banner for Bristol Zoo and a symmetrical repeat pattern tile. Working initially from observational drawings of plants, pupils gradually incorporate animals, insects and birds and begin to consider their use of complementary colours and composition. They experiment with new materials and techniques and research a variety of artist in connection with the theme.
